Mrs Carol Owen was founding Chairwoman of the National Gallery of the Cayman Islands. During her husband's tenure as Governor of the Cayman Islands Mrs Owen took over the seed of the Gallery from former Governor's wife Monica Gore.   Mrs Owen is herself a successful portrait and landscape artist.

(1912 - 2013) Mrs Helen Harquail passed away peacefully at her home on West Bay Road on Monday, 12 August 2013, but her legacy lives on at the National Gallery of the Cayman Islands.

Susan A. Olde, OBE, is a longtime philanthropist and advocate of the arts and arts education in the Cayman Islands, and beyond. Having supported National Gallery education programmes since 2000, she formally joined the Board of Directors in 2005. She was elected Chairperson in 2017 and has since led the organisation from strength to strength.
