Careers at the National Gallery

The National Gallery of the Cayman Islands (“NGCI”) is the country’s leading visual arts organisation and education centre. Our mission is to promote the appreciation and practice of the visual arts of and in the Cayman Islands and to provide innovative, educational programming relating to fine art, cultural heritage, national identity, and Caymanian art history.

We are a vibrant, busy and fast-paced organisation that is continually evolving to satisfy our mission and meet the needs of the community through a range of events such as exhibitions, workshops and special lectures. We are an organisation with a clear mission and purpose, a place where each employee can make a difference. Our small team performs many varied duties, from business operation functions to collection management, curatorial and events. We have high standards, ask a lot from our team members and give a lot in return. We are passionate, innovative, inclusive and act with integrity in all that we do.

In return for all of this, NGCI is keen to support the continued career and professional development of its employees and wants all team members to view their roles as a starting point and an opportunity. We work with our employees to support their development, offering opportunities such as training, continuing education/development, additional responsibility and autonomy.

If this sounds like something you want to be a part of, please visit our recruitment portal (located on BambooHR) to view our current vacancies. Please note that all applications must be submitted through this portal. In addition to regular employment opportunities, we also have paid internship opportunities and unpaid work experience placements throughout the year.
