Alan Darvill

b. 1938

Alan Darvill became interested in pottery over 40 years ago. Skilled in a wide variety of ceramics, his practice focuses on Majolica decorated functional earthenware and low fired “alternative” raku. In addition to being a prolific pottery maker, Darvill teaches ceramics at his studio with the Visual Arts Society. NGCI exhibitions include Revive: Contemporary Caymanian Craft (2017) and Cross Currents – 1^st Cayman Islands Biennial (2019).
