Ranked amongst the top West Indian poets, the National Gallery is honoured to host Dr. Mervyn Morris as part of the inaugural Cayman Islands Poetry Festival (CIPF). As the festival’s special guest, Dr. Morris will be performing a live reading of his poetry and reflecting on the importance of keep literature alive as a way to preserve the nation’s cultural values and heritage. The cocktail reception, live poetry reading and after-hours celebration of art and poetry is open to the public. Doors open at 6:30pm and the event begins at 7:00pm.
