Description

The National Gallery of the Cayman Islands welcomes Denise Claux, Bryony Dixon, Mikhail Campbell and Christopher Williams to the Gallery for a Q&A on the interplay and shared themes between Narratives of Change and the 4th Cayman Islands Biennial, Archipelago.

Narratives of Change, installed at Governor’s Village, explores the complexities of life in Grand Cayman by embracing the fluidity of identity and place, drawing from personal narratives of change shared by 17 people living on island. The exhibition presents hand-made proof-sheets, film photography, and sound works that bring these stories to life, inviting viewers to experience the imperfections and nuances of becoming, and highlighting the fragile balancing acts of everyday life.

This Q&A will feature the following Narratives of Change project members in conversation with the National Gallery of the Cayman Islands and you, the audience:

  • Denise Claux: director, producer documentarian
  • Bryony Dixon: photographer
  • Mikhail Campbell: sound engineer
  • Christopher Williams: lead researcher
