Special Lecture with CCMI – Reef Vegetarians: Who Are They and Why They Matter
11:00 pm-12:30 am
Free
Description
Join CCMI and NGCI for a lecture presented by Dr. Claire Dell at the National Gallery’s Dart Auditorium. This lecture will be the first in a series of wider programming for NGCI’s forthcoming Year of the Reef Exhibition, opening 3 May.
Coral reefs rely on the presence of parrot fish, tangs, and other reef herbivores to maintain a healthy, balanced ecosystem. Listen to Dr. Dell speak about her work tagging herbivores as she tries to understand which reef herbivores are most important to a healthy coral reef system.
