Mrs Jennifer Dilbert, MBE

Jennider Dilbert, MBE, retired from the Cayman Islands Government in December 2013, concluding a civil service career spanning 31 years. She holds a BA (Hons) in Economics from Brock and Western Universities, Canada and was appointed a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in 2005. Additionally, she serves as a Justice of the Peace in and for the Cayman Islands.

During her Government tenure, Mrs Dilbert established the Cayman Islands’ Freedom of Information Office, becoming the Islands’ first Information Commissioner. She also served as The Cayman Islands Government Representative in London, United Kingdom and headed the Financial Services Supervision Department, the precursor to the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority, acting as the Managing Director in 2002. Her responsibilities further included managing the Cayman Islands Currency Board, overseeing the 1979 population census, and serving as the Managing Director of Deutsche Bank from 1996-1999.

Mrs Dilbert currently serves on Boards and Committees of several organisations, including the National Gallery of the Cayman Islands, Fidelity Bank and Trust group of companies, Tenet Bank, Caribbean Utilities

Company, and the John Gray United Church. She is the immediate past Deputy Chairperson of the Gallery, and a former Treasurer.
