Mr Sacha Tibbetts

Sacha Tibbetts joined the CUC team in 1998 and has been a member of its Leadership Team since 2003. He oversees the implementation of the company’s sustainable energy and technology goals, including ambitious targets for renewable energy sources. His responsibilities encompass identifying projects that enhance environmental performance, decrease costs and create company growth. Additionally, Mr Tibbetts manages customer service, external communications, marketing, information technology and the company’s telecom subsidiary DataLink. He leads the long-term planning, engineering and construction of transmission, distribution and production systems, and project management for all major capital projects.

He contributed to the Cayman Islands National Energy Policy and led the development of CUC’s Integrated Resource Plan, which guides the company to stabilised energy costs and a reduction of CO2 emissions of over 60% by 2030, in compliance with the Paris Accord.

Mr Tibbetts holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from McGill University in Montreal, Canada, and is a registered Professional Engineer. He is also certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP) by the Project Management Institute. He has served on Boards and Committees for various community organisations and currently sits on the Board of the National Gallery of the Cayman Islands.
