Speak to Me Lecture

Cayman 27

Six people today headed to the National Gallery for a special lecture about the current exhibition “Speak to me”

The exhibit features works from local, international and even world-renowned artists.
Speak to me highlights the visual language of art using icons and symbols that can be recognized globally.

“It’s something that we kind of glaze over, or it’s in other artworks and it’s not really something that we kind of question, what exactly is the artist saying here, what are these two pieces saying being next to each other or across from each other, how do they work together, I’m hoping that is something that helped our audience to understand what the art works are saying.” Said Assistant curator of the National Gallery, Kerri-Anne Chisholm

This lecture was the last event of the current exhibition. The exhibition will end on the 12th of January 2017.
