About the Exhibition at Mind’s Eye

Miss Lassie’s House is an authentic turn of the century wattle and daub cottage, constructed from 1878-1881. As one of the best preserved examples of this traditional style of Caymanian architecture, the structure was added to the World Monument Fund’s 2012 Watch List, and today serves as the centrepiece of the Mind’s Eye historic site under the care of the Cayman National Cultural Foundation (CNCF). As part of this year’s biennial, Mind’s Eye is the hosting venue for an exhibition of contemporary works by several artists exploring the idea of ‘cultural mythologies’- one of three distinct sub-themes for this year’s biennial.
