Marc Laurenson - Self Portrait Covid-19, 2020

COVID – Self Portrait

CATEGORY:
YEAR:
2020
MEDIUM:
Mixed media collage

This self-portrait reflects Laurenson’s characteristic collage technique. To create this work he only used items he found in his home during lockdown – stickers, magazines, fast food boxes, plastic wrappers and comics – to create an image that speaks to our contemporary moment and the absurdity of life in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic, much like a time capsule.
